Tandanya is a visionary and vibrant place to explore and experience contemporary and traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through the performing and visual arts. You can wonder at the diversity, resilience, wisdom and creativity of the world’s oldest culture, expressed through a range of art styles, genres and techniques.
Guest can experience a cultural presentation of the yidaki (didgeridoo) or dance performance from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers and hear about their heritage and their stories, 12noon Tuesday to Sunday (charges apply).
A free cultural tour with an experienced cultural guide departs every Thursday at 11am.
You can also see films, book a group tour, browse through their superb shop or hire their gallery spaces and theatre.
Tandanya is the Kaurna (pronounced Garn-na) Aboriginal name for the Adelaide city area and was for many thousands of years, a place for special ceremonies connected with Red Kangaroo Dreaming.
