Part museum, part sales showroom, it not only has a huge array of opals and jewellery for sale, but also shows how opals came to be formed over millions of years and how they are mined today.

As you enter you are surrounded by dioramas of Australia's outback and then taken through time from the dinosaur age to modern day opal production. Exhibits show how the bones of prehistoric creatures can become opalised.
