Located next door to Darling Harbour, the Powerhouse Museum is one of Australia's largest and most diverse museums. It features an extraordinary array of treasures across decorative arts and design, science, technology, space, transport and social history.
An ever-changing program of temporary exhibitions complements a range of inspiring permanent displays. More than 250 interactive exhibits bring the Museum to life, with holographic images, touch screen computers, science experiments and a virtual reality space.
There are regular tours and demonstrations, film screenings and performances held throughout the Museum. Discover some of their most fascinating objects on a Highlights Tour.
Explore the Powerhouse Shop for a great range of interesting and exclusive gifts, souvenirs and books, or enjoy refreshments in one of their two cafes. Kids will love the fun interactive play-spaces Zoe's House and The Magic Garden as well as Cogs' Playground, a state of the art outdoor play area.
