Sitting atop the roof terrace of Cockle Bay Wharf, Chinta Ria serves market-style Malaysian food and modern Asian cuisine.
Architecturally the ambience of the light-filled restaurant is in keeping with a Buddhist temple, complete with incense and giant golden Buddha; food-wise the ambience is streetlife bustle. Classic market foods, such as fiery coconut-laden laksa, chicken curry and rotis, are on the menu but a banquet menu is also available.
A DJ is on site most nights, the music is loud and swinging. A place to visit for the atmosphere alone. No reservations taken for dinner.
