This brightly coloured restaurant proclaims its philosophy loud and clear on the wall. It reads in Spanish: “Full belly, content heart.” Bodega restaurant is a tapas bar with a difference ideally located five minutes from the city in the hub of Surry Hills.

The menu draws inspiration from Spanish and Argentinean food, wine and culture and is designed with sharing in mind. It features dishes such as Argentinean-style beef empanadas with salsa criolla, steamed pork belly with warm salad of onion and shitake mushroom, and seared scallops with pickled Wagyu tongue, cabbage and celeriac salad. The wine list has an extensive array of Spanish and South American wines that have been carefully chosen to complement the food.
