R B TripAdvisor review

Rooms were not well cleaned. Cut toenails still in bathroom upon arrival. Grotty crockery and utensils along with cookware. The kitchen was riddled with ants. Despite maintenance coming to fix, they were still there, everywhere. The phone was not connected therefore calling reception required to use your mobile to get through. There was blood on the sheets upon arrival, resulting in the need to replace the sheets for my children after 9pm at night. There was mould on the ceiling, which is an absolute health hazard. The attached garden/courtyard onto the pool was locked at night, false imprisonment at best and a fire hazard being the worst. In the morning, despite the pool being open from 7am I was still locked in my yard until well after 9am. When asking the pool maintenance man to open it, he was passive aggressive and drew out his work so as not to unlock the gate. Upon leaving, the reception were advised of a short overstay post 10am departure. Upon returning to the room, after telling reception AND the cleaners who were busting to get in the room, we returned to find all my belongings taken from the room. Upon questioning the cleaners whom claimed to have thought had left, despite having clearly told them and also having left multiple bags on the kitchen bench, eyewear and so on. When confronted on this, they, after some conjecture, returned a few bags. Some items were missing including unopened bottle of wine and milk I had to demand their production. Furthermore, other foodstuffs were thrown out and NOT returned despite us asking for them and some other opened but sealed food from the fridge. It was a disgraceful interaction. Upon returning to the reception, only to find one of the cleaners updating the reception staff. Spoke to reception - the girl could not have been less interested AT ALL. Clearly a backpacker. She at first, claimed not to have even seen us appear at reception earlier to notify of our delayed departure. Furthermore, she was non apologetic for the cleaner's conduct, which was theft. Also, more accusatory stating that the "owners" of the property were coming, and they needed to clean the room. As we said to her, we couldn't care less if the owners were coming or not. We were paying top dollar for a very poor experience. After having spent between $30k - $40k at Mantra Frech quarter over the past five visits. It is a disgrace the way we were treated, and the only redeeming feature is and was the pool and the location on Hastings Street. If the Mantra is going to "manage" this property, it should insist the owners maintain each property to a high standard when people are paying top dollar to stay there. The showers are rusty, mouldy and absolutely unhygienic. My family and I will never be returning to ANY Mantra after this experience. .....oh yeah and then there was the nescafe.

We were very happy with staff - could not be better from the Reception and rooms. We had 3 apartments. I wasn't the cook so nothing to worry about there. BBQ in one there was cord to put on - so bought another. I didn't have a dishwasher and the fridge was OFF. temperature useless and was very rusty. We appreciated that we were able to change towells and you gave us beach towels to save from bringing from home. I will come again and my eldest son has already booked in. Loved the spa bath in my apartment (Doreen S.)

Very central location, quiet and private as well.

I have stayed at Mantra French Quarter many times with mixed experiences. The location and pool facilities are a great feature but depending on room allocation, the overall experience can be very average. Most rooms, although featured as refurbished, require not only a good clean but a new refurbishment. It was clear the room had been cleaned quickly with dust, hairs and old food remaining on tables, under beds and in the fridge. It was only in the evening that we discovered our fridge was not working having previously loaded the fridge with our food for the coming days. The meat and dairy items had to be discarded. Reception was notified and provided two options - move rooms or wait for maintenance the following day. I opted for a room change but apart from a luggage trolley being brought to the room, no other assistance was provided. I was moving with my young child from the far end of the resort to the front of the resort and also told to return the trolley to reception. There were two staff members on reception, so there was capacity for one staff member to offer assistance. The new room, was nicely decorated, but located near the front door and attracted a lot of noise until the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately, the design of the building, with poor sound installation, does not buffer any sounds from in and outgoing guests and from surrounding apartments. The location is a strong positive, but the other features such as cleanliness, noise and customer service experience result in a poor rating. There is an abundance of accommodation in the area that offers a better experience.

Dear Linda, Thank you for your review and valued feedback. I am sorry to read about your disappointing experiences with your stay on this occasion. This is not the standard we pride ourselves on and I will be sure to follow up with the team. We are about to launch a new refurbishment project with our unit owners which is something we are all very excited about. If you do find yourself looking to return to Noosa in the future please do reach out to myself direct and I will be sure to take care of you ad… Kind Regards Adam Mckenzie Rooms Division Manager
